Snsek-SA-WMT Automatic recording water maze system water maze experiment

Brand: Penncentury SNSEK

Model: Snsek-SA-WMT

There are many types of mazes. They have been used in learning and memory experiments for decades and are still widely used. Although electrical mazes and food mazes are commonly used, there are many issues to pay attention to in the experiments. For example, in the food maze experiment, the animals need to fast before the experiment and reduce their weight to 85% of their original weight, otherwise the animals will have no drive or motivation to eat; in the electrical maze experiment, the experimental box must be cleaned after the training every day to remove the smell left by the animals, otherwise the experiment is prone to false positives. In addition to being used for learning and memory experiments, water mazes can also be used for experiments, which is one of the important reasons why we developed water mazes. The instrument uses a camera system and image tracking mode, which can automatically display the number of errors made by mice in the water maze and the time required to reach the end point. Repeated experiments have shown that after 4 consecutive days of training, 80% of the animals can learn to distinguish reactions and reach the end point within 2 minutes. Intraperitoneal injection or oral administration of camphor, scopolamine, alcohol and taurine can cause a significant decrease in the learning rate and a significant increase in the time required to reach the end point.
