Snsek-SA-SBS Shuttle experiment video analysis system

Brand: Penncentury SNSEK

Model:Snsek-SA-SBS

The shuttle box system is a quantitative measurement of animal behavior changes. It is a classic associative learning conditioned reflex. Animals can avoid harmful stimuli through learning. The bottom is a stainless steel grid, and electric current is used to add unconditioned stimuli to shock the soles of the animal's feet. The top is equipped with a noise generator to generate conditioned stimuli. Electric shock is given a few seconds after the conditioned stimulus. If the rat escapes to the safe area during the safe interval of the bell stimulus, it is an active avoidance reaction; if the rat does not escape to the safe area during the safe interval of the conditioned stimulus, then the rat escapes to the safe area after the AC electric shock, which is a positive passive avoidance reaction. Otherwise, it is a negative active and passive avoidance reaction, which is a cycle. After repeated training, only conditioned stimuli are given, and the rats escape to the contralateral safe area to avoid electric shocks. This forms a conditioned reflex or active avoidance reaction. The computer automatic control system can record the relevant animal action parameters. Active avoidance time refers to the length of time the animal receives conditioned stimuli. The shorter the value, the faster the animal's active avoidance reaction and the stronger its learning and memory ability.
The experiment is widely used in experimental research on learning and memory function, cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, cognitive function degeneration, etc. It is simple and easy to operate, easy to judge the results, and has high credibility. It can be used as a test experiment to provide subject parameters alone, and can also be used as an auxiliary or pre-screening experiment for other learning, memory and cognitive function experiments.
The system is an analysis system through video tracking; the system uses the three major components of the camera system, computer, and stimulator as the hardware basis. There is no need to make special marks on the experimental animals during the experiment. Software recognition algorithm
The search technology combining trajectory prediction, local and global can be used to track and record the position of experimental animals (rat and mouse) at will. It adopts an open system with strong scalability. The results can be imported into Excel, and histograms, curves, and trajectories can be processed, which is convenient for users to further analyze and process in biological analysis and statistical software such as SPSs and SAS.
